Michael Wortley FRICS (July 1952 – November 2012) Director
Update: On 23rd November 2012, Michael passed away suddenly.
Mike was a much loved person all over the Thames Valley having lived here the majority of his life. In his professional life, he had formed many friendships amongst solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders and tradesmen. He was an active member of Rotary in Reading and was a prominent member of the fundraising committee supporting many local charities.
The surveying profession was stronger for his presence in the industry and his professionalism, friendly and helpful approach will live on in our firm.
Mike was a family man and had a wife, three children and four grandchildren that he adored. He was much loved by all who knew him and this was evident by the sheer numbers attending his funeral.
Mike will be sorely missed by his family and everyone at Glendale Surveyors.
Michael has lived in the Reading Area since the 1950s and has an in depth knowledge of ground conditions and the history of the region. Michael qualified in 1981 and gained his fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1998. He specialises in residential survey reports, leasehold enfranchisement, expert witness reports, valuation and can advise on most aspects of residential property.
